Hybrid Transactional/Analytical Processing (HTAP) is an emerging paradigm in data processing that allows systems to perform both transactional and analytical operations on the same dataset in real-time. Traditionally, organizations have used separate systems for transactional workloads (OLTP) and analytical workloads (OLAP). However, this separation leads to latency, complexity, and increased costs. HTAP addresses these challenges by combining the strengths of OLTP and OLAP into a single, unified architecture.
